Hope Nelson
Hope Nelson is an award-winning food writer and restaurant columnist who lives in Old Town Alexandria. A native of Tallahassee, Fla., she has a master’s degree in American and Florida Studies from Florida State University. In her free time, she volunteers at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and races in long-distance triathlons and marathons.

Michael Pope
Michael Lee Pope is an award-winning journalist and podcaster who lives in Old Town Alexandria. He has reported for NPR, the New York Times and Northern Virginia Magazine. He has a master’s degree in American studies from Florida State University, and he is a former adjunct professor at Tallahassee Community College.
